BET CAPTAINS / CREW INFORMATION
Keep Your Bearings | Responsible Gambling
Set the boundary before the session
Gambling should be optional entertainment, never a way to earn income or solve a financial problem. Use only money you can afford to lose after essential expenses. Set a spending limit and a time limit before you begin. Avoid borrowing to gamble, and never increase a limit to chase a loss. You must be at least 18 and meet any higher age requirement that applies in your province.
Recognize a change in your play
Pause if you find yourself hiding spending, thinking constantly about the next bet, missing commitments or gambling to escape distress. A win does not cancel those signals. Close the session, speak to someone you trust and consider using deposit limits, time-outs or self-exclusion where available. Ask each operator how its tools work and whether a restriction covers other accounts.
Find support in Canada
The Responsible Gambling Council offers information about gambling harms and pathways to help. ConnexOntario provides support information for people in Ontario. For help elsewhere, use the health or gambling support service for your province. If you feel at immediate risk of harming yourself, contact emergency services now. You do not have to wait until a problem feels severe to ask for support.
